SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Fred W. Orth of Moline, who passed
4away on January 2, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Fred Orth was born to Matthew and Irene
6(Schroeder) Orth in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on December 23, 1931;
7he honorably served in the U.S. Army, 3rd Armored Division,
8during the Korean War; he married Mary Catherine Redecker in
9Rock Island on June 23, 1956; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Fred Orth was an insurance agent and district
11manager with American Family Insurance for 37 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Fred Orth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
13Church, Allouez Council 658 Knights of Columbus, and the
14Alleman Booster Club; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Fred Orth was preceded in death by his parents;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Fred Orth is survived by his wife; his children,
18Therese (Patrick) Lootens, Eileen Copen, Michael (Susan) Orth,
19and Larry (Gaye) Orth; his grandchildren, Christopher Lootens,
20Elizabeth (Ty) Verschorre, Ryan (Maggie) Lootens, Samuel

1(Lindsey) Lootens, Dustin (Bridget) Copen, Grace
2Copen-DiIulio, Mary Therese Ramirez, Matthew Orth, Jacob Orth,
3and Joshua (Kate) Orth; his great-granddaughter, Clarissa
4Hough; his great-grandsons, Maxwell and Maddux Copen, Michael
5Verschorre, and Jackson Lootens; and several nieces and
6nephews and their families; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Fred W. Orth and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
10friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Fred Orth as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
