SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Frank G. Dexter III of Taylor Ridge, 
4who passed away on December 15, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Dexter was born in Frankfurt, Germany to 
6Frank G. Jr. and Florence (Kaufman) Dexter on October 29, 
71948; he graduated from Rock Island High School and attended 
8Black Hawk College; he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1967 
9and served in Okinawa, Japan during the Vietnam War; he 
10married Becky A. McLaughlin in Rock Island on November 21, 
111975; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Frank Dexter owned and operated Action Auto Body 
13in Rock Island from 1973 until 2004; he then opened Dexter 
14Custom Woodworks, which he ran until his retirement in 2017; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Frank Dexter loved fishing, woodworking, 
17gardening, and cars; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Frank Dexter was preceded in death by his 
19parents; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Frank Dexter is survived by his wife, Becky; his

1sons, Andrew Frank Dexter (Stephanie McNall) and Joshua Adam 
2(Chelsie) Dexter; his grandson, Cash Dexter; his 
3step-grandchildren, Paige Preston, Bailey Preston, and Payton 
4Anderson; his sisters, Linda (Jeff) Hindman and Lori Mizlo; 
5and many extended family members and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
8Frank G. Dexter III and extend our sincere condolences to his 
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
10further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to  the family of  Frank Dexter as an expression of our 
13deepest sympathy.
