| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Charles H. "Chuck" Daniels of Hampton, |
| 4 | | who passed away on January 21, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Daniels was born in Davenport, Iowa to |
| 6 | | Charles I and Norma (Meinert) Daniels on October 21, 1935; he |
| 7 | | served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era; he married |
| 8 | | Theresa Smolenski on July 2, 1966, and she preceded him in |
| 9 | | death on January 5, 1977; he married Joan (Raymond) Larson in |
| 10 | | Rock Island on October 7, 1978; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Daniels worked for John Deere Foundry for |
| 12 | | 32 years; he retired as a supervisor in 1986; after |
| 13 | | retirement, he worked at the former Ron's Town Liquor in East |
| 14 | | Moline; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Daniels was a member of the East End |
| 16 | | Boulder's Club and the Moline Elks; he enjoyed seeing drag |
| 17 | | races, going on weekend camping trips to Camp Hauberg, and |
| 18 | | having bi-weekly breakfasts with his buddies; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Daniels was preceded in death by his first |
| 20 | | wife; his parents; and his siblings, Delores Henderson, |
| 21 | | Marilyn Bloomquist, James Daniels, Carl Daniels, and John |
