| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Duward Fredrick Inch, who passed away |
| 4 | | on January 29, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Duward Inch was born in Rock Island on October 6, |
| 6 | | 1946; he was raised by his grandparents, George and Vera; he |
| 7 | | spent most of life living and working in the Quad Cities; he |
| 8 | | graduated from Rock Island High School; he served in the U.S. |
| 9 | | Navy on the U.S.S. Bennington; he married Linda Liphardt in |
| 10 | | 1968; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Duward Inch's banking career began by |
| 12 | | repossessing cars; he eventually became a vice president at |
| 13 | | Blackhawk Bank and Trust before retiring in 2012; his early |
| 14 | | jobs included Schaffers Shell and Henry's Hamburgers; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Duward Inch loved 60s music and vintage cars, |
| 16 | | especially El Caminos; he enjoyed attending his children's and |
| 17 | | grandchildren's events; upon his retirement, he enjoyed |
| 18 | | visiting California and taking cruises with his wife; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Duward Inch was known for never meeting a |
| 20 | | stranger, for his booming voice, for his unbelievable |
| 21 | | joke-telling talent, and for his legendary 16th and 40th |
