SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Frank L. Bridge of Taylor Ridge, who
4passed away on February 26, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Bridge was born to Frank and Constance
6Bridge in Glenburn, North Dakota on December 1, 1925; he
7attended Rock Island High School; he married Berneyce Doyle in
8April of 1944; he was inducted in the U.S. Navy as a seaman
9first class on January 31, 1945 and was honorably discharged
10on April 25, 1946; and
 
11    WHEREAS, After his service, Frank Bridge began farming,
12which he continued for the rest of his life; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Frank Bridge was a member of the Rock Island
14County Fair Board for 35 years and served as president for 10
15years; he was also a member of the Farm Bureau, the American
16Legion, and the Zion Lutheran Church of Taylor Ridge; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Frank Bridge was best known for his one liners,
18his love for Diet Mountain Dew and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups,
19and his adventurous truck rides; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Frank Bridge was preceded in death by his

1parents, Frank and Constance; his wife, Berneyce; his
2daughter, Gerrie; his sister, Ellen; and his two brothers,
3Gordan and Stanley; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Frank Bridge is survived by his son, Richard
5(MaryLou); his daughter, Connie (Mark) Shultz; his
6daughter-in-law, Artis Bridge; his grandchildren, Angela
7(Jackson) Spackman, Amber (Bob) Smith, Carrie (Matt) Larson,
8Carol (Tom) Parchert, Kelly (Greg) Gillespie, Tom Bridge,
9Jaclyn Hauer, and Josh Hauer; his great-grandchildren, Nathan,
10Ryan, and Laikyn Parchert, Evan and Josephine Gillespie,
11Daniel Spackman, and Stella and Maya Smith; and his sister,
12JoAnn Whitall; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Frank L. Bridge and extend our sincere condolences to his
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Frank Bridge as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
