2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Ronnie Haddad of River Forest, who |
4 | | passed away in July 2019, at the age of 78; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was a lifelong Chicagoan; he served |
6 | | in the U.S. Army; he was a father of five children; he was |
7 | | known as "The Ram"; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was a creative entrepreneur and |
9 | | founder of Triple R Publications, Midwest News, Pizza City, |
10 | | and Haddad's Old Fashions; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was a family advocate to St. Jude's |
12 | | Memorial Hospital; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was the owner of the racehorses |
14 | | Strike of Dawn, Hierarchy, and Magazine Man; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was a talented musician who loved |
16 | | to play the guitar and sing; he was a band member of The |
17 | | Bel-airs, the Crystal Ship, and the Time Travelers Trio; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was known for his belief that a |
19 | | good life and good food went hand in hand; from clams casino to |
|

1 | | his mother's Lebanese Rosen lubi, he ate and lived well; he was |
2 | | also a devoted Rams fan, whether the team was based in St. |
3 | | Louis or Los Angeles; and

4 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was said to be the funniest dad in |
5 | | all of River Forest; he played a central role in his children's |
6 | | lives and coached all five of his kids in baseball and |
7 | | softball; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was a self-described optimist; he |
9 | | approached life with a sense of levity and an endless supply of |
10 | | laughter and light; he will be remembered for possessing a |
11 | | heart of gold; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was the loving dog owner of Sheik, |
13 | | Domino, Buffy, Pugsly, Cody, Amir, Lady, and Ajeebi; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Haddad was the son of Nimer Haddad and Ada |
15 | | Maloof; the brother of Rosemary and Robert; the husband of |
16 | | Priscilla Earsom; the father of Ron, Michael, Autumn, Vincent, |
17 | | and Vanessa; and the partner of June Fontana; therefore, be it

18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
20 | | Ronnie Haddad and extend our sincere condolences to his |
21 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
