SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Richard E. Trevarthan of Frankfort, 
4who passed away on February 22, 2021 at the age of 83; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Trevarthan was a graduate of Purdue 
6University, a veteran of the United States Army, an avid 
7golfer, a longtime Trustee for the Village of Frankfort, and a 
8superintendent for over 30 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Richard Trevarthan was the owner of Trevarthan 
10Landscaping, which granted him the opportunity to have an 
11instrumental role in the development of the Prestwick Country 
12Club golf course; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Richard Trevarthan was preceded in death by his 
14wife, Janet Jones Trevarthan; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Richard Trevarthan is survived by his children, 
16Jeanne (Joe) Hartung, Richard "Bob" Trevarthan, David (Connie) 
17Trevarthan, and Michael (Sherry) Trevarthan; his siblings, 
18Coranne (Dennis) Smitley, Elaine (Michael) Arnold, and Pam 
19(Doug) Couch; his grandchildren, Kyle Hartung, Alex Hartung, 
20Matthew Trevarthan, Daniel Trevarthan, Grant Trevarthan, and 
21Megan Trevarthan; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Richard E. Trevarthan and send our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and to all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of the resolution be 
8presented to the family of Richard E. Trevarthan as an 
9expression of our deepest sympathy.
