| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Lois Janet (Rischow) DeBellis of |
| 4 | | Palatine, who passed away on March 10, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lois DeBellis was born in Chicago to Albert |
| 6 | | Rischow and Florence (Czarnik) Rischow on September 28, 1953; |
| 7 | | she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the |
| 8 | | University of Illinois at Chicago in 1975; she married Edward |
| 9 | | DeBellis; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Lois DeBellis worked as a nurse for 40 years; |
| 11 | | throughout her career, she specialized in caring for those |
| 12 | | with mental illness, those who were homebound, and those with |
| 13 | | special needs at school; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Lois DeBellis loved the outdoors; she traveled |
| 15 | | the country and visited various National Parks with her hiking |
| 16 | | group; she was lovingly referred to as "Wannawalk" by her |
| 17 | | hiking friends; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Lois DeBellis was preceded in death by her |
| 19 | | parents; her many aunts and uncles; and her father-in-law and |
| 20 | | mother-in-law; and
