SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Donald Ray Britt of Colona, who passed 
4away on March 28, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Britt was born in Joliet on May 3, 1942; he 
6was the son of Paul and Gladys Britt; he married Donette 
7Gunter, and they had two children before separating; he served 
8in the U.S. Army; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Britt worked for John Deere; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Donald Britt enjoyed fishing and watching Nascar 
11and football; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Donald Britt was preceded in death by his 
13parents; a son; a son-in-law, Tom Hawkins; and his siblings, 
14Robert, Brenda, and Sharon; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Donald Britt is survived by his daughter, Kelly 
16Hawkins; his son, Kevin Britt; his grandchildren, Devin (Ann), 
17Michael, Paige, Morgan, Alexis, Isaak, Jaelie, and Jaline; his 
18six great-grandchildren; and his brother, Ronnie Britt;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Donald Ray Britt and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Donald Britt as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
