| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Harold L. Seitz of Silvis, who passed |
| 4 | | away on September 8, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Harold Seitz was born in Moline to Jess and Ida |
| 6 | | (Bridges) Seitz on April 7, 1919; he married Violet Krieger in |
| 7 | | Palmyra, Missouri on April 27, 1941, and she preceded him in |
| 8 | | death on August 17, 2011; he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps |
| 9 | | during World War II, where he flew over 35 missions as a nose |
| 10 | | gunner on a B-24; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Harold Seitz worked for the U.S. Post Office in |
| 12 | | his earlier years; he later worked at and retired from the Rock |
| 13 | | Island Arsenal; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Harold Seitz was preceded in death by his |
| 15 | | parents; his wife; his daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Mike |
| 16 | | Hoffman; his siblings, Lorene (Albert) Dussliere and Ival |
| 17 | | (Catherine) Seitz; his granddaughter, Wendy Thompson; and his |
| 18 | | special friend, Totoo Pinto; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Harold Seitz is survived by his children, Andrea |
| 20 | | "Andy" (Larry) Gull, Jay Seitz (Gary West), and Gary (Jacalyn) |
| 21 | | Seitz; his 10 grandchildren; his 15 great-grandchildren; and |
