| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Raphael Vito "Ralph" Ferri of Chicago, |
| 4 | | who passed away on May 7, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ralph Ferri was born in Losato, Italy to Vito and |
| 6 | | Pasqua Ferri on December 18, 1927; he immigrated to Seattle, |
| 7 | | Washington in 1946; he later moved to Chicago; he married Rita |
| 8 | | Tunzi on July 11, 1953; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Ralph Ferri worked as a cement mason for his |
| 10 | | entire career and was a member of the Cement Mason's Union, |
| 11 | | Local 502; during his long career, he worked on the |
| 12 | | construction of Chicago's famous Sears Tower and the |
| 13 | | Bloomingdale's building; he retired in 1990; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Ralph Ferri most cherished sharing big Sunday |
| 15 | | dinners with his family and drinking a glass of his own |
| 16 | | homemade wine; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Ralph Ferri was the father of Pasquina |
| 18 | | (Schnotala), Vito Ferri, Adriana (Ferdinardo), and Michael |
| 19 | | Ferri, and he was the grandfather of Ralphy Ferri, Ken |
| 20 | | Schnotala, Lauren Schnotala, Marianna Ferdinardo, Rita |
| 21 | | Ferdinardo, Angela Ferdinardo, Joseph Gutierrez, Michael |
