| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Charles Lee Curry of Moline, who |
| 4 | | passed away on May 6, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Curry was born in Mexico, Missouri to |
| 6 | | Harold and Laveta Goe Curry on December 30, 1945; he graduated |
| 7 | | from Mexico High School; he received his Bachelor of Science |
| 8 | | in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri; he earned |
| 9 | | his Master of Arts in Physical Therapy from the University of |
| 10 | | Southern California; he married Mary Lynn Chilton in |
| 11 | | Florissant, Missouri on March 29, 1969; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Charles Curry served in the U.S. Air Force until |
| 13 | | he retired in 1989; he then worked at Cornell University in |
| 14 | | Ithaca, New York, and he retired in 2004; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Charles Curry was a member of First |
| 16 | | Congregational Church and a longtime community volunteer at |
| 17 | | World Relief; he was a member of the Quad Cities Bicycle Club |
| 18 | | and had a lifetime of cycling friendships and experiences; he |
| 19 | | was a passionate train enthusiast; he loved baseball and |
| 20 | | basketball; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Charles Curry was preceded in death by his |
