SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Kathleen "Kay" Subaitis, who passed 
4away on October 2, 2020 at the age of 85; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis was born on September 13, 1935; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis graduated from Immaculate Conception 
7High School in Elmhurst in 1953; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis was a longtime administrative 
9assistant at the District 97 Oak Park Public Elementary School 
10central office; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis was a decades-long board member of 
12the North Riverside Public Library and the Friends of the 
13Library; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis was preceded in death by her 
15parents, Francis R. and Florence Solomon, and her brother, 
16Frank (Joyce) Shannon; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Kay Subaitis is survived by her children, Rick, 
18Cathy (Earl) Briggs, and Dan (Judy); her grandchildren, 
19Shannon Briggs and Danielle, Alexandra, Hannah, and Cole

1Subaitis; her nieces and nephews; and her former spouse, 
2Richard W. Subaitis; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Kathleen "Kay" Subaitis and extend our sincere condolences to 
6her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Kay Subaitis as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
