SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Katherine L. "Katie" King of West 
4Peoria, who  passed away on May 4, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Katie King was born in Peoria to William E. and 
6Diane Rinne King Sr. on January 24, 1996; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Katie King truly enjoyed teaching as a career 
8because she wanted to make a difference in the lives she 
9touched; her passion for teaching was evident in her love and 
10caring for her students; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Katie King was a bright light that shone in the 
12lives of her beloved students, family, and friends; she had an 
13endless positive attitude and sweet personality; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Katie King was preceded in death by her parents 
15and her grandparents; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Katie King is survived by her brother, William 
17King Jr.; her half brother, Matthew (Carrie) King; her half 
18sister, Jennifer (Daryl) Selock; her  nephews, Emery King, 
19Elliot King, Owen Selock, and Nolan Selock; her uncle, Ed 
20(Debra) Rinne; and her cousin, Christopher Rinne; therefore,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Katherine L. "Katie" King and extend our sincere condolences 
5to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be 
6it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Katie King as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
