| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Katherine L. "Katie" King of West |
| 4 | | Peoria, who passed away on May 4, 2021; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Katie King was born in Peoria to William E. and |
| 6 | | Diane Rinne King Sr. on January 24, 1996; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Katie King truly enjoyed teaching as a career |
| 8 | | because she wanted to make a difference in the lives she |
| 9 | | touched; her passion for teaching was evident in her love and |
| 10 | | caring for her students; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Katie King was a bright light that shone in the |
| 12 | | lives of her beloved students, family, and friends; she had an |
| 13 | | endless positive attitude and sweet personality; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Katie King was preceded in death by her parents |
| 15 | | and her grandparents; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Katie King is survived by her brother, William |
| 17 | | King Jr.; her half brother, Matthew (Carrie) King; her half |
| 18 | | sister, Jennifer (Daryl) Selock; her nephews, Emery King, |
