SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Donald "Don" E. Schillinger of Orion, 
4who passed away on May 30, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Don Schillinger was born to Paul John and Lydia 
6Margaret (Knochenmus) Schillinger in Colona Township on May 2, 
71932; he served in the United States Air Force; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Don Schillinger worked for IH East Moline in his 
9younger years and later became a farmer in the Orion area; he 
10also owned and operated the Nail Keg in Orion as well as the 
11former Waterslide; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Don Schillinger was a member of the VFW and the 
13UAW Local 1304; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Don Schillinger was preceded in death by his 
15parents; his sister, Mary Pysson; and his brothers, Floyd and 
16Harold Schillinger; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Don Schillinger is survived by his brother, Lloyd 
18(Margie) Schillinger; his nieces, Sherry (Rick) Lovett, Marsh 
19Storm, Donna (Bob) Waterfield, Jan (Rod) Versluys, Judy (Bill) 
20Ward, and Carla Schillinger; and his nephews, David (Cheryl)

1Schillinger, Dan (Kathy) Pysson,  Gary (Bev) Schilling, Tom 
2Schillinger, Ernie (Sara) Schillinger, and Barry (Lydia) 
3Schillinger; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Donald "Don" E. Schillinger and extend our sincere condolences 
7to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
8it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Don Schillinger as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
