SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" E. Mills of East Moline, 
4who passed away on June 8, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Mills was born to Clifford and Myrtle 
6Kaletsch Mills in Galesburg on September 6, 1928; he served in 
7the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he married Alice Rose 
8Sherwood in Galesburg on September 22, 1951, and she preceded 
9him in death on May 24, 2009; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Bob Mills worked as a service manager at Culligan 
11and later worked in the shipping department at Eckler's 
12Corvette; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Bob Mills enjoyed camping, traveling, and 
14spending time with his children and grandchildren; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Bob Mills was preceded in death by his parents 
16and his wife; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Bob Mills is survived by his children, Linda 
18Gates, Judith (Mike) Meersman, Janet (Randy) Pollner, Robert 
19(Patsy) Mills Jr., Michael (Kelli) Mills, John (Kathy) Mills, 
20and Carol (John) Zambrano; his 16 grandchildren; his 27

1great-grandchildren; his brother, Gary E. Mills; and his 
2sister, Shirley Glasnovich; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Robert "Bob" E. Mills and extend our sincere condolences to 
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Bob Mills as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
