| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Jodie A. Kermarrec Broniec of |
| 4 | | Highland, who passed away on May 9, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jodie Broniec was born to Sylvia K. Ward and |
| 6 | | Garbo "Joe" Kermarrec in Reading, England on April 12, 1978; |
| 7 | | she graduated from St. Bartholomew's High School in Newbury, |
| 8 | | England; she and her family then moved to O'Fallon, Illinois; |
| 9 | | and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jodie Broniec worked as an in-home nurses aide, |
| 11 | | caring for the elderly in Alton; she moved to Highland in 2000 |
| 12 | | where she continued working as a nurses aide; she also worked |
| 13 | | at Ed & Millie's Tavern and, for the last year, at Peppermint |
| 14 | | Pre-School in Highland as a housekeeper; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Jodie Broniec enjoyed being with family, arts and |
| 16 | | crafts, and baking; she was loved by her family and will be |
| 17 | | dearly missed; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Jodie Broniec is survived by her mother and |
| 19 | | stepfather, Larry D. Ward; her father; her daughter, Bailei N. |
| 20 | | Broniec; her
son, Ryley M. Broniec; her sisters, Zoe A. (Andy) |
| 21 | | Fry, Kerry A. Kermarrec, Linzi N. (Jerry) Foreman, and Shani |
