| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of D. Jack May of Moline, who passed away |
| 4 | | on June 22, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack May was born to Don and JoAnn (Simpson) May |
| 6 | | in Fairfield, Iowa on January 1, 1954; he married his high |
| 7 | | school sweetheart Joyce Sirfus in Des Moines, Iowa on March |
| 8 | | 16, 1973; he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jack May had a career in hydraulic/pneumatic |
| 10 | | engineering with positions in five different states; he |
| 11 | | retired from Iowa Fluid Power in October of 2018; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jack May was an active member and elder of South |
| 13 | | Park Presbyterian Church; he belonged to the Gold Wing Touring |
| 14 | | Association and served in many leadership roles; he |
| 15 | | volunteered with the Mississippi Bend Trykes, building |
| 16 | | specialty bikes for kids; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jack May enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and riding |
| 18 | | the open road with his friends; family was the most important |
| 19 | | thing to him, especially his beloved grandchildren; he loved a |
| 20 | | good game night full of jokes and laughter; and
