| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Kathleen E. "Kathy" Parker of Glen |
| 4 | | Carbon, formerly of Collinsville, who passed away on July 1, |
| 5 | | 2021; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Kathy Parker was born in East St. Louis on |
| 7 | | November 28, 1942; she graduated from Collinsville High School |
| 8 | | in 1960; she married John E. "Jack" Parker on June 9, 1960; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Kathy Parker was employed as an executive |
| 10 | | secretary at Swift Packing Company, Missouri Pacific in the |
| 11 | | Legal Department, and IBM in the Personnel Department; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, After returning to college and earning a master's |
| 13 | | degree in Education, Kathy Parker later worked as an |
| 14 | | elementary school teacher in Collinsville Unit #10, where she |
| 15 | | taught for 28 years; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Kathy Parker was creative with real estate and |
| 17 | | loved to decorate; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Kathy Parker was preceded in death by her |
| 19 | | parents, William and Monica (Zukas) Wedemeyer, and her |
| 20 | | sisters, Dorothy Mae and Mary Jane; and
