| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of James "Jim" Marvin Mumma, who passed |
| 4 | | away on June 29, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma was born to Rex and Leona (Lanners) |
| 6 | | Mumma in Moline on June 4, 1951; he served in the U.S. Army and |
| 7 | | was stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Upon returning from Germany, Jim Mumma began his |
| 9 | | career at John Deere Harvester, East Moline; after 40 years of |
| 10 | | employment, he retired in January of 2014; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma loved fishing, hunting, and playing |
| 12 | | cards; most of all, he loved spending time with family and |
| 13 | | friends; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma was preceded in death by his parents |
| 15 | | and his father-in-law, Marvin Bowles; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma is survived by his wife, Kathy; his |
| 17 | | daughter, Megan (Dan) Matthies; his stepchildren, Drew Kerr, |
| 18 | | Mackenzie (Steven) Menegus, and Chase (Kelly) Young; his |
| 19 | | granddaughter, Piper; his grandson, James; his brothers, |
| 20 | | Kenneth (Debi) Mumma and Randy (Cindy) Mumma; his many |
