2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of James "Jim" Marvin Mumma, who passed |
4 | | away on June 29, 2021; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma was born to Rex and Leona (Lanners) |
6 | | Mumma in Moline on June 4, 1951; he served in the U.S. Army and |
7 | | was stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Upon returning from Germany, Jim Mumma began his |
9 | | career at John Deere Harvester, East Moline; after 40 years of |
10 | | employment, he retired in January of 2014; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma loved fishing, hunting, and playing |
12 | | cards; most of all, he loved spending time with family and |
13 | | friends; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma was preceded in death by his parents |
15 | | and his father-in-law, Marvin Bowles; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma is survived by his wife, Kathy; his |
17 | | daughter, Megan (Dan) Matthies; his stepchildren, Drew Kerr, |
18 | | Mackenzie (Steven) Menegus, and Chase (Kelly) Young; his |
19 | | granddaughter, Piper; his grandson, James; his brothers, |
20 | | Kenneth (Debi) Mumma and Randy (Cindy) Mumma; his many |
