SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Richard H. Amy of Milan, who passed
4away on July 4, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Amy was born to Enos and Crystle Amy on
6October 24, 1928; he served in the U.S. Navy; he married
7Frances Heston on October 4, 1951, and they had two children,
8Richard and Reita; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Richard Amy worked for the Iowa-Illinois Gas and
10Electric Company; he retired after 35 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Richard Amy was a 50-year Mason and a member of
12the KAABA Shrine; he loved hunting, fishing, jewelry making,
13and his family; he never missed a moment to watch his six
14grandchildren in events at Rockridge, with his camera in hand,
15and especially enjoyed spending time with his
16great-grandchildren; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Amy was preceded in death by his wife;
18his parents; his brother, Boyd Amy; and his sister, Reita
19Downing; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Richard Amy is survived by his son, Richard

1"Rick" (Kay) Amy; his daughter, Reita (Mike) Kuster; his
2grandchildren, Rickey (Krystle) Kuster, Matt (Chelsea) Kuster,
3Gail (DJ) Hahn, Steve (Staci) Amy, Kevin (Kara) Amy, and Keith
4(Courtney) Amy; and his great-grandchildren, Cole Kuster, Cael
5Kuster, Claire Kuster, Cru Kuster, Collins Kuster, Kylen
6Kuster, Kolby Kuster, Cooper Amy, Hawk Amy, Lucas Amy, Kennedy
7Amy, Huxley Amy, Ryker Amy, Jordy Hahn, and Jeter Hahn;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Richard H. Amy and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Richard Amy as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
