SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Louie K. Fisher of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Milan, who passed away on December 26, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Louie Fisher was born to Kenneth and Myrtle Fisher in Rock Island on December 23, 1943; he served in the U.S. Army; he married Peggy Vincent in 1967; after her death in 1986, he later married Linda Warner; and

WHEREAS, Louie Fisher retired from JI Case after 30 years as a machinist; he was also the owner of Lou's Lawn Care of Milan; and

WHEREAS, Louie Fisher was a past commander of Milan American Legion Post 569; and

WHEREAS, Louie Fisher loved working around the house and being outside working in his flower garden and with his fruit tree; he was an avid fisherman and hunter who took many trips to Canada and southwest Iowa; most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved golden retriever Chloe; and

WHEREAS, Louie Fisher was preceded in death by his first wife; his parents, Kenneth and Myrtle; and his sister, Joyce; and

WHEREAS, At the time of his death, Louie Fisher was survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Tammy (Jerry) Hudspeth and Jeff (Christiane) Fisher; his grandchildren, Jerry (Lauren) Hudspeth III, Jonathan Hudspeth, Natalie Fisher, Darin Fisher, and Brian Fisher; his brother, Michael (Lisa) Fisher; and his great-grandchildren, Violet Hudspeth and Donatello and Raphael Fisher; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Louie K. Fisher and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Louie Fisher as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
