SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Sabina "Sheila" Gaughan Brosnahan, 
4who passed away on July 22, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Sabina Brosnahan was born in Doohoma, County 
6Mayo, Ireland on September 9, 1923; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Sabina Brosnahan worked for 60 years as a 
8registered nurse in London, Ireland, and Chicago; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Sabina Brosnahan was preceded in death by her 
10husband, James; her daughter, Sheilann Brosnahan; and her 
11siblings, Anthony, Richard, Bridget, Mary, Thomas, Packy, 
12Ciss, and Mike; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Sabina Brosnahan is survived by her children, 
14Mary Margaret (Kriston Kato) and James (Janet) Brosnahan; her 
15grandchildren, Tierney (Michael Wagner), James, Julia, and 
16Quinn; her great-grandchild, Raffaella; the families of Carey 
17and Wally Dickman, Brian Kato, and Christine and Tim Collins; 
18and her sister, Sadie (Paddy) Heneghan; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Sabina "Sheila" Gaughn Brosnahan and extend our sincere 
2condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
3her; and be it further

6of our deepest sympathy.
