| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Robert L. Horton, formerly of Rock |
| 4 | | Island, who passed away on August 24, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Horton was born to Otto and Marie |
| 6 | | (Schmidt) Horton on April 9, 1933; he married Linda Thomas on |
| 7 | | November 15, 1956; he served in the U.S. Navy; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Robert Horton was preceded in death by his |
| 9 | | parents; his wife, Linda; his son, Harold; his granddaughter, |
| 10 | | Christina Horton Brunat; his brothers, Delbert Horton Sr. and |
| 11 | | Otto Horton II; and his sisters, Rozetta Barton, Shirley |
| 12 | | Whited, and Jean Rosenbaum; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Robert Horton is survived by his daughter-in-law, |
| 14 | | Melanie Horton; his grandson, Robert Horton II; his six |
| 15 | | great-grandchildren; his sister, Sharon Fitzpatrick; and his |
| 16 | | many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
| 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 19 | | Robert L. Horton and extend our sincere condolences to his |
