SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of John W. Hohnsbehn Jr. of Litchfield,
4who passed away on September 26, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Hohnsbehn was born in Wood River to John W.
6Sr. and Leona (Spurgeon) Hohnsbehn on June 21, 1956; he
7married Nona Furlow in Litchfield on October 23, 2010; and
 
8    WHEREAS, John Hohnsbehn retired after serving as the
9Director of Nursing for the Southern Illinois University
10School of Nursing; and
 
11    WHEREAS, John Hohnsbehn was a 4th degree member of the
12Bethalto Chapter Knights of Columbus; and
 
13    WHEREAS, John Hohnsbehn was preceded in death by his
14parents and his grandchildren, Abigail Hohnsbehn, Cameron
15Hohnsbehn, Jackson Hohnsbehn, and Jacob Stutz; and
 
16    WHEREAS, John Hohnsbehn is survived by his wife, Nona; his
17children, John W. (Jessica) Hohnsbehn III, Amy (Simon)
18Huntley, Dan Hohnsbehn, Katie (Cory) Spengler, Jessica Mielke,
19Becca Hohnsbehn (Zachary Morris), Ella Hohnsbehn, Jennifer
20(Jeff) Kraft, Adam (Debbie) Witsken, and Autumn (Josh) Reed;

1numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister,
2Theresa (Jon) Smith; and his brother, Bruce (Shirley)
3Hohnsbehn; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6John W. Hohnsbehn Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of John Hohnsbehn as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
