SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Frank "Bill" Dragoo of Petersburg, who 
4passed away on  September 20, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Dragoo was born in Springfield to Lyman and 
6Leela Dragoo on November 4, 1936; he served in the U.S. Army 
7and Marine Corps; he  married Sandra Roth on June 10, 1995; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Bill Dragoo retired from the Illinois State 
9Police, having  worked executive security for four Illinois 
10governors; he entered the field of real estate upon his 
11retirement in the 1980s; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Bill Dragoo enjoyed traveling, driving his RV, 
13hunting, stock car races, NASCAR, trap shooting, and golfing; 
14he especially loved to be around people and, most of all, his 
15family; he was a Shriner and a Mason with Chatham Lodge #0523; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Bill Dragoo was preceded in death by his parents; 
18his sisters, Mary Hewitt and Lolly Wagner; and his brother, 
19Sam Dragoo; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Bill Dragoo is survived by his wife, Sandy; his

1daughter, Becky Dragoo (Tom Sonneborn); his stepdaughter, 
2Jayne Roth; his sons, Darryl Dragoo (Amy Nelson) and Randy 
3(Annie) Dragoo; his stepsons, Terry (Rachael) Roth, Nick 
4(Toni) Roth, and Tim (Peggy) Roth; 17 grandchildren; several 
5great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, 
6be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
9Frank "Bill" Dragoo and extend our sincere condolences to his 
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
11further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to  the family of  Bill Dragoo as an expression of our 
14deepest sympathy.
