SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Robert L. Widmer of Milan, who passed 
4away on October 30, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Widmer was born to Louis and Anna (Morris) 
6Widmer in Rathbun, Iowa on September 20, 1930; he served in the  
7U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; he married Rose 
8Kauzlarich in Rathbun, Iowa on June 20, 1953; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Widmer worked as a salesman at Marlin 
10Wholesale, Rock Island for 52 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Widmer was a member of St. Pius Catholic 
12Church, Rock Island and Moline American Legion Post #246; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Widmer loved to cut grass and be around 
14home with family and friends; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Robert Widmer was preceded in death by his 
16parents and his sister, Janice Schoolen; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Widmer is survived by his wife; his 
18brother, Jim Widmer; and his several nieces and nephews; 
19therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert L. Widmer and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Robert Widmer as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
