| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of James Russell Beard of Acworth, who |
| 4 | | passed away on November 8, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Beard was an avid gardener and shared his |
| 6 | | crops with family and friends; he loved the process of canning |
| 7 | | and freezing his crops to enjoy all winter; he loved preparing |
| 8 | | entrees on the smoker that he and his nephew built and enjoyed |
| 9 | | sharing his cooking techniques with all his nieces and |
| 10 | | nephews; he would break bread with family and friends anywhere |
| 11 | | and anytime; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, James Beard enjoyed traveling and the adventures |
| 13 | | that he and his wife shared, making memories and friends along |
| 14 | | the way; he was a skilled woodworker and carpenter and always |
| 15 | | had projects going; he and his brother loved fishing; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, James Beard is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn |
| 17 | | Beard; his daughter, Judy (Randy) Beard Graeser; his brother, |
| 18 | | Leonard E. (Claudia) Beard; his sister, Sharon (Bill) Harrell; |
| 19 | | his grandchildren, Gabe, Sam, and Maddy Graeser; and several |
| 20 | | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
