SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Gary R. Lentz of Colona, who passed 
4away on December 14, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Lentz was born to Morris R. and Karen  
6(Christensen) Lentz in Iowa City, Iowa on January 19, 1943; he 
7served in the U.S. Army; he married Linda Dobrinske in Colona 
8on June 13, 1964; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Gary Lentz worked for the former Rock Island 
10Lines and the Burlington Northern Railroad; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Gary Lentz enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Gary Lentz was preceded in death by his parents 
14and his brother, Lynn Duff; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Gary Lentz is survived by his wife, Linda; his 
16children, Todd (Jody) Lentz, Don Lentz, and Dina (Nelson 
17Munoz) Lentz; his grandchildren, Holly, Heather, Hope, Kaden, 
18Chastity, Kayleigh, Stephanie, and Chelsea; his 
19great-grandchildren, Ava, Elaina, Terry, Calvin, Tyson, and 
20Zachary; and his siblings, Gail Duff, Sherry Jipp, Marlene

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

4Gary R. Lentz and extend our sincere
condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it

7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

8presented to the family of Gary Lentz as an expression of
our 
9deepest sympathy.
