2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Floyd W. Jensen of Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on December 18, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen was born to Axel and Hildur | ||||||
6 | (Hagstrom) Jensen in Moline on May 25, 1939; he graduated from | ||||||
7 | Moline High School; he served for two years in the U.S. Army | ||||||
8 | and then several years in the Army Reserves; he married | ||||||
9 | Rosalie Raymond on May 27, 1960, and they were married for 25 | ||||||
10 | years before she passed; he married Carol Markey on June 28, | ||||||
11 | 2003, and she preceded him in death in 2018; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen worked for Moline Consumers for many | ||||||
13 | years; he then joined E&D Trucking; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen was a member of the Teamsters Union | ||||||
15 | and served as the Union Steward as well as the President of the | ||||||
16 | Teamsters Credit Union; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen enjoyed Nascar and loved to work; | ||||||
18 | most of all, he loved his family; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen was preceded in death by his | ||||||
20 | parents; his first wife; his second wife; and two sons; and

1 | WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen is survived by his sons, Tracy | ||||||
2 | (Cindy) Jensen, Jerry (Jeanie) Jensen, and James M. Jensen; | ||||||
3 | his stepchildren, Monica Koning, Lori (Steve) Lofgren, Angela | ||||||
4 | (Andrew) Stoutenborough, and Berick Snyder; his grandchildren, | ||||||
5 | Tara, Joshua, Richard, Alicia, Brant, Shayna, Cody, Blake, | ||||||
6 | Amanda, Jonathan, and Katie; many great-grandchildren; his one | ||||||
7 | great-great granddaughter; his many step-grandchildren; his | ||||||
8 | two step-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Shirley (Wayne) | ||||||
9 | Fatchett and Grace Godwin; and his brother, Marshall (Janet) | ||||||
10 | Jensen; therefore, be it

11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| ||||||
13 | Floyd W. Jensen and extend our sincere
condolences to his | ||||||
14 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | ||||||
15 | further

16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| ||||||
17 | presented to the family of Floyd Jensen as an expression of
our | ||||||
18 | deepest sympathy.
