| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Benny Alan Sweet of East Moline, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 2, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Benny Sweet was born to Ben Lee and Mary Jane |
| 6 | | (Matthews) Sweet in Davenport, Iowa on July 7, 1954; he served |
| 7 | | in the U.S. Army; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Benny Sweet served as a paramedic at the Illini |
| 9 | | Medical Center in Silvis for 30 years; he retired in 2010; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Benny Sweet was an avid golfer; he also enjoyed |
| 11 | | fishing and cooking; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Benny Sweet is survived by his son, Bentley |
| 13 | | Sweet; therefore, be it
|
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
| 15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 16 | | Benny Alan Sweet and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 17 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
