| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Jerry R. Daugherty Sr. of East Moline, |
| 4 | | who passed away on January 4, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Daugherty was born to Earl and Lillie Sue |
| 6 | | (Bowlds) Daugherty in Daviess County, Kentucky on May 22, |
| 7 | | 1944; he served in the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army |
| 8 | | during the Vietnam Conflict; he married Dawn DeLaere on |
| 9 | | January 12, 1980; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Daugherty retired from John Deere Express |
| 11 | | and later Gress Trucking; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Daugherty was a lifetime member of the East |
| 13 | | End Boulders Club and American Veterans (AMVETS) Post 145; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Daugherty will be especially remembered for |
| 15 | | his gentle soul and fun-loving presence; he was a loving |
| 16 | | husband, father, and grandfather; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Daugherty was preceded in death by his |
| 18 | | parents; his sisters, Dorothy Whitmer and Theresa Daugherty; |
| 19 | | and his brothers, Earl Wayne, Darrell, and Ron Daugherty; and
|
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Daugherty is survived by his wife, Dawn; |
| 2 | | his children, Jerry R. Daugherty Jr. (Courtney Leonard), |

| 4 | | Ouart); his grandchildren, Joshua Daugherty, Breyanna |
| 5 | | Daugherty, Ethan Daugherty, Landon Daugherty, Adriana |
| 6 | | Daugherty, Tyler Ouart, and Tanner Ouart; his siblings, Nancy |
| 7 | | Hendricks, Gary (Debbie) Daugherty, Susie Daugherty, Lee |
| 8 | | "Pixie" Stemmermann, Rita (LaWana) Roberson, Dennis (Mary) |
