SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of David Cumming "Dave" Patterson of 
4Moline, who passed away on December 28, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dave Patterson was born to William and Violet 
6(Malcolm) Patterson in Moline on March 28, 1928; he served in 
7the U.S. Navy; he married Darlene Anderson in East Moline on 
8July 19, 1951, and she preceded him in death on May 9, 2011; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dave Patterson was employed at John Deere for 
11over 30 years, retiring as Supervisor of Training 
12Administration; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dave Patterson was a member of Faith Lutheran 
14Church, the Toast Masters, the Exchange Club, and the American 
15Legion; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dave Patterson loved spending time with his 
17family and enjoyed traveling, woodworking, camping, and 
18canoeing; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Dave Patterson was preceded in death by his wife, 
20Darlene, and his brother, Malcolm Patterson; and

1    WHEREAS, Dave Patterson is survived by his sons, Jeff 
2(Sheri) Patterson and Jon (Valerie) Patterson; his 
3grandchildren, Michael (Laurie) Patterson, Brian (Sonya) 
4Patterson, Jennifer (Shawn) Holland, Brittany Patterson, 
5Daniel Patterson, and Katlyn Patterson; his 
6great-grandchildren, William, Emilia, Samuel, Pierce, and Knox 
7Patterson; and his sister, Jeannette Clendenny; therefore, be 
8it
  
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

11David Cumming "Dave" Patterson and extend our sincere

12condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved

13him; and be it further
  
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

15presented to the family of Dave Patterson as an expression of

16our deepest sympathy.
