SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of James W. Needham of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on January 11, 2022; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Needham was born in Moline to Frank and 
6Mary (Kavanski) Needham on November 5, 1935; he married Marion 
7Ortiz in Rock Island on August 16, 1958 and served in the U.S. 
8Army for two years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James Needham worked in the sewer department for 
10the City of Rock Island for 28 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, James Needham was an avid fisherman; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, James Needham was preceded in death by his 
13parents and his sister, Barbara Shirk; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, James Needham is survived by his wife, Marion; 
15his daughters, Lora Needham and Kathy Bivens (Jeff DeArmond); 
16his  granddaughters, Mallory (Greg) Burney and Mariah, Megan, 
17and Michelle DeArmond; three great-grandchildren; and his 
18siblings, Jack (Joyce) Needham, Bertha (Roland) Franks, and 
19Frank Needham Jr.; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3James W. Needham and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  James Needham as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
