| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Gregory D. Vogelsang of Rock Island, |
| 4 | | who passed away on January 16, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang was born in Pekin to Arthur and |
| 6 | | Charlotte (Howard) Vogelsang on January 14, 1955; he served in |
| 7 | | the U.S. Navy and married Mary A. Talbot in Rock Island on May |
| 8 | | 3, 1997; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang was employed for many years at |
| 10 | | Stetson Building Products in Rock Island, where he was a |
| 11 | | supervisor; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang was an avid fan of the Chicago |
| 13 | | Bears and Cubs and loved fishing; his favorite times were |
| 14 | | those spent with family and friends; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang was preceded in death by his |
| 16 | | grandson, Tyson Thompson; his parents; his brothers, Mark and |
| 17 | | Jim Vogelsang; and his sister, Debbie Koelling; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Gregory Vogelsang is survived by his wife, Mary; |
| 19 | | his children, Race Vogelsang, Claye (Nora) Vogelsang, Michael |
| 20 | | (Melanie) Talbot, Melissa Charlton, Stacey (Joe) Grimstad, |

| 12 | | Gregory D. Vogelsang and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |

| 15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
