| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Jerald "Jerry" L. Pearson of Moline, |
| 4 | | who passed away on December 21, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Pearson was born to Ernest and Lydia |
| 6 | | (Rosene) Pearson in Moline on April 17, 1934; he served for two |
| 7 | | years with the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, |
| 8 | | Missouri; he then attended the Chicago Institute of Art; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Pearson worked as an illustrator for |
| 10 | | Weapons Command at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring after 32 |
| 11 | | years; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Pearson enjoyed spending time with his |
| 13 | | nieces and nephews hiking, biking, swimming, boating, and |
| 14 | | canoeing at Lake Geneva in Wisconsin; he enjoyed camping in |
| 15 | | the boundary waters, yachting, and simply relaxing during the |
| 16 | | summers; he enjoyed many cookouts and spending time with his |
| 17 | | friends at his "Bosky Dell" cabin on Campbells Island; in the |
| 18 | | winter, he spent his time at home building outdoor chairs, |
| 19 | | tables, bird feeders, bird houses, and many other items; he |
| 20 | | loved traveling to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Hawaii, Mexico, and |
| 21 | | all throughout the United States; he loved his family and his |
| 22 | | cat, Pooky, and enjoyed a great life with his nieces, nephews, |
