| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Alfred Keith Muntz of Greenfield, who |
| 4 | | passed away on February 8, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Keith Muntz was born to Harry Morton and Myra |
| 6 | | Alma (Lorton) Muntz in White Hall on September 18, 1921; he and |
| 7 | | his family moved to a farm east of Berdan when he was eight |
| 8 | | years old; he attended grade school at Appalonia School and |
| 9 | | graduated from White Hall High School in 1939; he worked on the |
| 10 | | family farm for the next three years; he served in the U.S. |
| 11 | | Armed Forces during World War II, entering military service on |
| 12 | | July 6, 1942 and serving for 40 months; after his discharge, he |
| 13 | | was awarded the ETO Medal, the Purple Heart, the EX-POW Medal, |
| 14 | | and the French Legion of Honor; he married Juanita Mae Inlow at |
| 15 | | the White Hall Baptist Church on August 5, 1945, and they |
| 16 | | shared 74 years together; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Keith Muntz, alongside his wife Juanita, spent |
| 18 | | the first part of married life on the family farm east of |
| 19 | | Berdan, where they raised purebred Duroc hogs; after leaving |
| 20 | | the farm, they moved to Greenfield, where they lived for over |
| 21 | | 40 years; and
|
| 22 | | WHEREAS, Keith Muntz served as treasurer of the Greene |
