| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of James S. "Jamie" Lowe of Naperville, |
| 4 | | who passed away on March 5, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jamie Lowe was born in Washington, D.C. to Joan |
| 6 | | and James S. Lowe Sr. on December 19,
1956; he graduated from
|
| 7 | | Niles North High School in 1975 and received his degree in |
| 8 | | political science from DePaul University; he married Janet K. |
| 9 | | Brady on June 4, 1988 and lived in Chicago and Glenview before |
| 10 | | settling in Naperville; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jamie Lowe spent his entire career in residential |
| 12 | | real estate, at first working for multiple agencies and
later |
| 13 | | as an independent broker with James Lowe Realty, established |
| 14 | | in 2000; he was a former trustee for the Lisle-Woodridge Fire |
| 15 | | Department for many years and a strong supporter of the |
| 16 | | firefighter profession; he also served as the Lisle Township |
| 17 | | Republican Chairman; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Jamie Lowe was an avid sailboat racer with 45
|
| 19 | | years of sailing to Mackinaw Island and a former commodore of |
| 20 | | the Island Goats Sailing Society in
Chicago; he was active in |
| 21 | | raising funds for the
Friends of Lisle Township Food Pantry; |
| 22 | | he was also an avid runner and athlete; and
|
