SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Ronald "Ron" B. Schlotfeldt of 
4Hillsdale, who passed away on March 16, 2022; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt was born to Russell and Ardelle 
6(Peters) Schlotfeldt in Clinton, Iowa on July 15, 1946; he 
7served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam; he married Vicky L. 
8Wiersema in Silvis on December 16, 1989; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt retired from Rock Island 
10Integrated Services at the Rock Island Arsenal as a 
11supervisor; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, 
13hunting, and camping; he also liked tending to his yard and 
14gardening; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt was preceded in death by his 
16parents; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt is survived by his wife, Vicky; 
18his children, Dana Morey, Lynnette Stevens, John Carlile, 
19Chris (Nicole) Carlile, Jimmy Carlile, Russ (Sarah) 
20Schlotfeldt, Ron Schlotfeldt II, and Travis Schlotfeldt; his

1grandchildren, Kaleb Carlile, Madison Schlotfeldt, Aubrie 
2Schlotfeldt, Travis Schlotfeldt Jr., Kyler Ball, Gabriel Ball, 
3and Marissa Weiner; his siblings, Lana Thoma, Dean (Norma) 
4Schlotfeldt, Willie (Shirley) Schlotfeldt, and Gail (Jerry) 
5Kruse; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

8Ronald "Ron" B. Schlotfeldt and extend our sincere
condolences 
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be 
10it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

12presented to the family of Ron Schlotfeldt as an expression of

13our deepest sympathy.
