Hirsch High |
| 7 | | School, and Rockford College (Rockford
University); she |
| 8 | | married George Jackson
in 1963; and

| 9 | | WHEREAS, Leslie Jackson retired from ComEd
as Manager of |
| 10 | | Corporate Responsibility; she also had an
early career in |
| 11 | | adoption and was the first African American
who worked at the |
| 12 | | corporate office of The Quaker Oats
Company; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Leslie Jackson served as a lifelong member of the |
| 14 | | Junior
League; she was on the women's board of the Lincoln
Park |
| 15 | | Zoo and was the president of the South Shore
Cultural Center |
| 16 | | Advisory Board; her greatest love was
her family, and she set |
| 17 | | an exemplary example as a wife,
mother, and grandmother; and

| 18 | | WHEREAS, Leslie Jackson enjoyed
music, playing the piano, |
| 19 | | reading, and playing tennis; and

| 20 | | WHEREAS, Leslie Jackson is survived by her husband of 59 |
