| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Jack S. Kester of Rock Island, who |
| 4 | | passed away on March 26, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Kester was born to Vern and Gladys (Dierikx) |
| 6 | | Kester in Moline on November 9, 1943; he graduated from Rock |
| 7 | | Island High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the |
| 8 | | Vietnam War; he married Joan Wysocki in Rock Island on |
| 9 | | February 20, 1971; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Jack Kester worked as a field engineer for |
| 11 | | Eastman Kodak for many years; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jack Kester was a member of St. Pius X Catholic |
| 13 | | Church, the Davenport Radio Control Society, and the Coast |
| 14 | | Guard Auxiliary in Rock Island; he enjoyed boating, |
| 15 | | constructing railroad models, and flying radio controlled |
| 16 | | airplanes; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jack Kester was preceded in death by his parents; |
| 18 | | and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jack Kester is survived by his wife, Joan; his |
| 20 | | son, Douglas Kester; his stepchildren, Clayton Brendal and |
