SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Kathleen Jacobson who passed away on 
4September 22, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kathleen Jacobson was born and raised in Oak 
6Park, where she attended St. Edmunds Grammar School and 
7Trinity High School; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Kathleen Jacobson met her future husband, Jerome, 
9while attending St. Edmunds Grammar School and later attended 
10Loyola University with him; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Kathleen Jacobson married Jerome following their 
12graduation and enjoyed a loving 66-year-long marriage; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Kathleen Jones was preceded in death by her 
14brother, Charles (the late Jane) L. Sullivan; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Kathleen Jacobson is survived by her husband; her 
16five children, Julie (Mathew) Patterson, Margaret (Scott) 
17Kath, Katie Hasbrouck, Mathew (Theresa) Jacobson, and John 
18Jacobson; her 11 grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; 
19and her sisters, Ann (Timothy Sr.) Devereux and Barbara (the 
20late Charles B.) Poindexter; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Kathleen Jacobson and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Kathleen Jacobson as an expression 
8of our deepest sympathy.
