SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Richard Weil, who passed away on
4September 29, 2021 at the age of 73; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Weil was born in Denver, Colorado to
6Bettye Lou and William Weil on November 15, 1947; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Richard Weil lived a lifetime of irreverent
8adventure, which began in his teenage years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Richard Weil spent a few years on the road as a
10truck driver; he then enrolled in the graduate school of
11Marquette University to study English literature, where he
12would meet his future wife of 37 years, Zarine; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Richard Weil supported his family through a small
14logistics business, RW Freight; he earned the respect and
15friendship of his peers in the industry and retired after a
16career of more than 45 years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Weil formed an extensive network of
18friends within the Oak Park community and was a cherished
19member of a tight-knit Ashtanga yoga community in Chicago; he
20was an enthusiastic student in online courses on modern

2    WHEREAS, Richard Weil is remembered for his many hobbies,
3his love of family, and, most of all, his generosity and sense
4of humor; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Weil was the beloved husband of Zarine,
6the father of Aaron, Darius, and Delna, and the brother of
7Kathe (Robert) Jervis; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Richard Weil and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
11friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Richard Weil as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
