| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Douglas "Doug" Cobb of South Roxana, |
| 4 | | who passed away on November 4, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Doug Cobb was born to Don and Marsha (Schaaf) |
| 6 | | Cobb in Alton on May 10, 1967; he was a graduate of East Alton |
| 7 | | Wood River High School, where he was an outstanding athlete in |
| 8 | | both basketball and baseball; he was first team all-conference |
| 9 | | in basketball and was the first recipient of the 110 Percent |
| 10 | | Award given by the Alton Exchange Club; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Doug Cobb was a member of Carpenters Local 664 |
| 12 | | for 36 years, and for the last five years, he worked as a |
| 13 | | business representative; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Doug Cobb was on the Board of Directors for the |
| 15 | | Riverbend Growth Association; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Doug Cobb enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping |
| 17 | | at Montauk State Park; most of all, he loved hunting and |
| 18 | | fishing with his boys and spending time with Julie; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Doug Cobb is survived by his parents; his |
| 20 | | significant other of more than 20 years, Julie Chapman; |
