| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of James A. "Jim" Malecky, who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 29, 2022; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Malecky served as the honorable Mayor of Oak |
| 6 | | Forest from 1985 to 1993; he was also the former 3rd Ward |
| 7 | | Alderman; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jim Malecky was the owner of Malecky Builders, a |
| 9 | | prominent real estate and development company, building |
| 10 | | throughout the Southwest suburbs for the last 50 years; he was |
| 11 | | also part owner of the World Music Theatre in Tinley Park; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jim Malecky tirelessly served his community |
| 13 | | through countless clubs and donations, and he is credited with |
| 14 | | the creation of Oak Fest in addition to the yearly Oak Forest |
| 15 | | 4th of July Fireworks; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jim Malecky was the husband of Carol A. |
| 17 | | (Klosinski) Malecky; the father of Kimberly (Mark) Iles and |
| 18 | | Kristine (Marty) Kalnins; the stepfather of Matthew Olino and |
| 19 | | the late Michael (Tina) Olino; the grandfather of Madelyn |
| 20 | | Iles, Kathryn Iles, James Iles, Gabrielle Kalnins, Mason |
| 21 | | Kalnins, Ella Kalnins, Reagan Olino, and Carter Olino; the |
