| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Ralph P. "Bud" DeDecker of Silvis, who |
| 4 | | passed away on July 6, 2022; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bud DeDecker was born to Edmund and Elizabeth |
| 6 | | (Van Vooren) DeDecker in Atkinson on April 5, 1927; he served |
| 7 | | in the U.S. Navy during World War II; he married Elsie Vyncke; |
| 8 | | and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bud DeDecker retired from John Deere Harvester in |
| 10 | | East Moline after 33 years of service; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Bud DeDecker was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan and |
| 12 | | an avid gardener; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bud DeDecker was preceded in death by his |
| 14 | | parents; his grandson, Craig Curless; his siblings, Ione |
| 15 | | (Clarence) Hicks and Jane (Bill) Hamer; and his |
| 16 | | brother-in-law, Rich Vyneman; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bud DeDecker is survived by his daughter, Pamela |
| 18 | | (James) Curless; his grandchildren, Kim Curless and Doug |
| 19 | | (Amanda) Curless; his great-grandchildren, Ashton, Sloane, |
| 20 | | Aubrey, and Lily; his stepchildren, Karen Fry and Sherry |
