| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Bill L. Pulford of East Moline, who |
| 4 | | passed away on July 11, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Pulford was born to Josephine and Ben |
| 6 | | Pulford in Moline on February 13, 1942; he graduated from |
| 7 | | Moline High School in 1960; he served in the U.S. Navy for four |
| 8 | | years, sailing on the U.S.S. Boston during the Cuban Missile |
| 9 | | Crisis and later on the U.S.S. Maloy out of the New London |
| 10 | | Submarine Base; he married Pauline Hendricks at Sacred Heart |
| 11 | | Catholic Church in Moline on May 4, 1974; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Bill Pulford worked as a torque inspector |
| 13 | | building combines at John Deere Harvester Works, where he |
| 14 | | retired after many years of service; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Bill Pulford loved home remodeling and was an |
| 16 | | expert woodworker; he built many classic 1950s and 1960s Chevy |
| 17 | | cars through the years, and he helped organize the Quad City |
| 18 | | Classics Car Club; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Bill Pulford was preceded in death by his parents |
| 20 | | and his brother, Ben; and
