SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Warren "Ray" Harris of Milan, who 
4passed away on July 10, 2022; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ray Harris was born to Lyle and Ermal (Warren) 
6Harris in Bicknell, Indiana on April 19, 1938; he served in the 
7U.S. Navy; he married Carol Pittser in Davenport, Iowa on 
8April 15, 1978; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Ray Harris had been employed by the former Eagle 
10Foods in Milan, Eastern Iowa Tire, and Goodyear Tires; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Ray Harris was a member of Rock Island Moose 
12Lodge 190, The Forty and Eight, and Milan American Legion Post 
13569; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Ray Harris was preceded in death by his parents; 
15his brothers, Ronnie, Clete, Claude, and Ernie; his sister, 
16Velma; and his granddaughter, Jessica; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Ray Harris is survived by his wife, Carol; his 
18sons, Warren Harris, Doug Harris, and Tony Schultz; his 
19grandchildren, Amanda, Brady, Bronte, and Brianna; his 
20great-granddaughter, Halee; his sisters, Anna Grabbe and Janet

1Overbay; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Harris and Evelyn Harris; 
2and his several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Warren "Ray" Harris and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Ray Harris as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
