| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Eduardo M. "Eddie" Ramos of Silvis, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on July 5, 2022; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Eduardo Ramos was born to Benito and Natalia | ||||||
| 6 | (Terronez) Ramos in Moline on June 9, 1948; he graduated from | ||||||
| 7 | Alleman High School in 1966; he served as a mechanic in the | ||||||
| 8 | U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict; he married Rita | ||||||
| 9 | Gierlus; he later married Charlotte Neal in Rock Island in | ||||||
| 10 | 1985; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Eduardo Ramos had worked at Oscar Mayer in | ||||||
| 12 | Davenport; he retired as a brick layer/mason working for his | ||||||
| 13 | best friend, Jim Braet; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Eduardo Ramos was a member of the Mexican | ||||||
| 15 | American Veterans Association (MAVA); and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Eduardo Ramos enjoyed fishing, shooting | ||||||
| 17 | toothpicks, watching Westerns, and playing pool; he also | ||||||
| 18 | enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially | ||||||
| 19 | his brother, Nicholas Ramos, and his friend, Jim Braet; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Eduardo Ramos was preceded in death by his | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | parents and brothers, Raymond Hernandez, Fernando Ramos, David | ||||||
| 2 | Ramos, and Nicholas Ramos; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Eduardo Ramos is survived by his wife, Charlotte | ||||||
| 4 | Ramos; his children, Kimberly (Manuel) Collyer, Michael | ||||||
| 5 | (Tafline) Ramos, Dawn Menestrina, Joseph Ramos, and Tony | ||||||
| 6 | Menestrina; his 17 grandchildren; his four | ||||||
| 7 | great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Mary "Goodie" Ramos, | ||||||
| 8 | Joseph "Ralph" (Dawn) Ramos, Rudolph "Rudy" (Jackie) Ramos, | ||||||
| 9 | Bernarda "Nini" (Daniel) Lefever, Magdalena "Maggie" (Kelly) | ||||||
| 10 | Meguffy, and Eva Ramos; therefore, be it

| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
| 12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 13 | Eduardo M. "Eddie" Ramos and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 14 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 15 | further

| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to the family of Eduardo Ramos as an expression of | ||||||
