| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Anthony Penca of Silvis, who passed |
| 4 | | away on July 18, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Penca was born to Anthony and Theresa |
| 6 | | (Perkovic) Penca in Silvis on June 10, 1927; he served his |
| 7 | | country in the U.S. Army from April 22, 1946 to May 8, 1950; he |
| 8 | | was squad leader of Military Police 677 in Japan and was |
| 9 | | awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of |
| 10 | | Occupation Medal Japan; he married Bernadette Tragarz in |
| 11 | | Moline on October 10, 1953; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Penca worked as a superintendent of |
| 13 | | maintenance at International Harvester; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Penca was a member of Christ the King |
| 15 | | Catholic Church in Moline; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Penca was preceded in death by his |
| 17 | | parents; his twin brother, Joseph Penca; and his |
| 18 | | sister-in-law, Ursula Penca; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Penca is survived by his wife; his |
| 20 | | children, Pamela (Mark) Schwigen, Tony (Kari) Penca, Paula |
